On Saturday, 19 September, Hypermaremma presents Ogni Cosa Intatta, the final exhibition of HYPERESIDENCIES I.
Developed as part of the six-month residency project involving four artists and two curators, the exhibition will open on Saturday, 19 September 2026, at 11:00 am, at the Archaeological Park of the Ancient City of Cosa, in Ansedonia.
Curated by Chiara Serranti and Giulia Tentellini, the exhibition brings together works by Iva Drekalovic, Yuxiang Wang, Maria Ludovica Gugliotta and Marie Anne Hervé, creating a journey that interweaves contemporary art, archaeology and landscape.
The title stems from a reflection on permanence and refers first and foremost to the ancient city of Cosa, while extending to everything the site continues to preserve: its ruins, landscape, memory and the layers of meaning deposited over time, without ever diminishing its vitality.
Here, intatta does not mean immobile, but rather the ability to endure through the centuries without losing one’s identity. Memory remains intact, as do myths, scents, the sound of the sea, and the ritual and symbolic dimension that still inhabits this landscape today.
Throughout this journey, the works neither impose themselves upon the Archaeological Park nor reduce it to a mere backdrop. Instead, they establish a relationship with the site, reawakening its evocative power and opening up new possibilities for interpretation.
The ruins speak of the past, the works question the present, and together they make tangible the continuity of a place that is still capable of generating meaning.
HYPERESIDENCIES is a project entirely funded by the Tuscany Region through the 2021-2027 FSE+ Regional Programme, as part of the Public Notice approved by Executive Decree No. 28520/2024. It is included within Giovanisì.it, the Tuscany Region’s project supporting young people’s independence.
