Astamaremma

Sotheby's Astamaremma

Fundraising auction

The event, organized in collaboration with Sotheby’s, is part of the Association’s cultural program and is intended to support the activities of the upcoming edition.

The sixth edition featured nationally and internationally renowned artists from various generations, who engaged in open dialogue with the local territory and community. Their involvement contributed to establishing the Maremma region as a growing cultural and artistic epicenter.

Hypermaremma is increasingly taking on an institutional profile, with a steadily expanding research-driven outlook.
Over the past three years, the Festival has undergone a radical shift. A key aspect of this sixth edition was, on the one hand, the inclusion of art critics who authored accompanying texts for the works, thus enriching the multiplicity of voices; and on the other, the collaboration with prestigious galleries both within and beyond Italy’s borders, which are increasingly recognizing the Festival’s social and cultural significance.

The upcoming edition will be particularly significant, as it will focus on the Festival’s growth through the development of increasingly ambitious contemporary art projects, while also reinforcing Hypermaremma’s role as a cutting-edge platform for cultural promotion.

Within Hypermaremma, one can envision a different future for art itself: the guiding principle behind the project has always been to build—step by step—a path that transforms discovery into a truly immersive experience: immersive with the landscape, and with the artworks that reinterpret and reframe it.

The Festival’s ongoing growth and potential inspire us to imagine ever more ambitious projects—ones that can become an integral part of the Maremma territory, 365 days a year.

Once again, we have conceived a fundraising initiative to help support, at least in part, the realization of future projects.

For the occasion, the prestigious auction house Sotheby’s will generously bring its world-recognised fame and its many years of experience to support Hypermaremma, its objectives and values.

During the auction, works of art of recognised value will be auctioned off, designed and created by notable contemporary Italian and international artists carefully selected by a qualified commission. The auction will take place on Saturday, July 13th in the evocative setting of the La Macchia club, in Capalbio, and will be accessible by invitation only.
